GoDaddy Hosting Review

My findings and the information I will present in the GoDaddy Hosting Review is a bit different from all of the other hosting providers I’m reviewing.  Although GoDaddy provides a good hosting service, that’s not what they are primarily known for.  Their main product, what they have always been recognized for, and the focus of must of their advertising is registering domain names.  I will be preparing a separate GoDaddy review dedicated to the domain name services.  With that said, GoDaddy did fall short of making my Top 10 Domain Hosting Services List, however since they are such a strong name in the market; I have included them as an “honorary member” of the Top 10 List.

Support & Community Found By GoDaddy Hosting Review

This is where I feel they fall short from every other provider on my Top 10 Domain Hosting Services List.  They do offer guides and forums for help.  They also have a 24/7 support ticket system and live phone support, however the phone support is not a toll-free number and they have no “Live Chat” system.

Conclusion From GoDaddy Hosting Review

A while back I had a hosting account with GoDaddy, but to tell you the truth, I never even used it at all.  I just found the other hosting providers I have accounts with to be much easier for me to use and I just let the account expire after the first year.  One more thing to pass on, once you wade through all of the different limitations and finally decide on a hosting plan, as soon as you hit the “Add To Cart” button you’re taken to a whole page of up-sells.  It’s not as bad as all the up-sells you get when registering a domain name, but still even more confusing.  My recommendation, before deciding, check out some of the other providers available.  Don’t forget to check out the next in this series, FastDomain Review.  This has been my GoDaddy Hosting Review.
